You wouldn't be DA'd because you were not baptized. A disassociated person is one that is baptized and Leaves (or disassociates) himself from the org.

as it is i have spent at least an hour and a 1/2 just reading different topics and wow!

i never in my life imagined for one minute that it would be so hard to leave the organization.

in israel of old, god provided leadership through trusted and loyal individuals in positions of responsibility.

we had a major talk about jws today.

So I pull out my 'secret weapon'. The one thing that can destroy a JW in one shot. If 1914 was the year they were to have the 'proper food at the proper time', why were they teaching lies like the cross, blood, etc.

That should be your secret weapon, *1914*. For that to be the year they were to have the "food at the proper time" Jerusalem would have to have fallen in 607. I chalenge you to find a sorce outside the WTS who uses this date. You won't be able to because evidence shows that it actually fell in 586BCE not 607. When I realized this I was free of the WTS. If the WTS is wrong about this date,607, then 1914 is wrong, 1919 is wrong, Christ didn't start ruling in heaven, no faithfull and discrete slave at this time, the whole premise crumbles.

If we are to stay clear of everything with pagen origins then we better stay clear of the WT organization. In there biginings their was Pyrimid worshop. They celibrated Christmas too.

Sisters, did you notice a trend of husbands not taking the lead?

this is a spin-off question from my last topic on family studies, but i once read on this forum that several sisters in a hall who are still active, complained that their husbands weren't taking the lead spiritually.

they were neglecting meetings, studies and field service.. if you're still going to meetings, do you hear anything like this being brought up?.

husbands, how did you deal with your wife accusing you of not taking the lead?.

I was an elder for a couple of years. I can tell you from experience very few of the elders take the lead in there own family. Only those who pioneer with their wife and have no children in my experience. Ray France in Crisis of Concience makes the same claim for the governing body. The organization keeps them too busy to study.

What kind of "real" Christian lets the kids do Halloween?

as you all know we have been out of the tower about 3 years now.

i am still a christian but my hubby thinks of himself more as an agnostic.

anyway, my son who is 12 asked if he could go trick or treating with my nieghbor and her son just to try it as it never has - and i said it was up to him to decide.
